SWEETENERS

Sorbitol - E 420:
It is found naturally in fruits and is a product very close to sugar. It is a natural sweetener and thickener used in diabetic beverages and foods, bakery products, confectionery, grated coconut, gum etc. It is clear, colorless, sweet and syrupy liquid.

Saccharin :
It is an artificial sweetener. Saccharin, the main ingredient of which is benzoic sulfinide, is sweeter than sucrose, and it is used for flavoring products such as drink, confectionery, medicine and toothpaste depending on the permission. Its shelf life is shorter than 6 months in foodstuffs, but up to 2 years in medicines.

Aspartame E 951 :
It is a sweetener of which chemical formula is aspartyl-phenylalanine-1-methyl ester. It is a methyl ester of dipeptide which is chemically composed of aspartate and phenyl alanine amino acids. It is 180 times sweeter than tea sugar. People with phenylketonuria (PKU) disease should not consume aspartame.

Acesulfame K E 950 :
Acesulfame potassium, also known as Acesulfame K E 950 or Ace K, is a non-calorie sugar substitute commonly marketed under the trade names Sunett and Sweet One. In the European Union, it is acknowledged under the E number E950. It was discovered by chance in 1967 at Hoechst AG by German chemist Karl Clauss.

Dextrose (Corn sugar) :
It is the energy source of a living organism. It is used as a natural sweetener and colorant in bread, caramel, cookies, pharmaceutical industry and many products. It is an odorless, water-soluble white sweet powder.
